My name is Adam Kocurek and I am excited to be your instructor this semester! This course explores the modern history of the United States with an emphasis on social and cultural history, focusing on larger societal change as well as the creation of an “American identity.” This course will particularly focus on the experiences of historically marginalized people, resistance movements, and the agents of social transformation.
